   <dc:description>The aim of this work is the evaluation and reduction of the radiated emissions of a&#xd;
CAN transceiver. To reduce the emissions, a set of good EMC (Electromagnetic&#xd;
Compatibility) practices will have to be applied. The possibility of using PLC (Power&#xd;
Line Communications) techniques and its impact in the EMC performance of the&#xd;
system is also considered.&#xd;
We present measurements of the radiated emissions of a realistic CAN node for&#xd;
telemetry applications based on a previously designed CAN transceiver. To do so, we&#xd;
designed and build a sensors board to be connected to the transceiver and we&#xd;
arranged a suitable measurement set-up. Next, we redesigned the CAN transceiver.&#xd;
The set of good EMC practices we applied resulted in a noticeable reduction of the&#xd;
radiated emissions.&#xd;
Finally we evaluated the possibility of using PLC (Power Line Communications) to&#xd;
reduce the number of cables of CAN buses.</dc:description>
