   <dc:description>In the last years, optical Telecommunication systems represent an important source of researches and progresses over many possible applications. The role, that invests this sector, has find a wide field of study in access networks in particular because of rapid growth of Internet access and services. The request for high quality and faster way to communicate has lead, the telecom sector, to concentrate their researches over on optic fibers systems based.&#xd;
In this work a possible access network configuration is analyzed in details, step by step; in fact all the components of the system chain are examined and all the performances are studied by using a modern and useful approach: the “via software” instruments control. Moreover, a laboratory guide has been developed in order to extend, the experience of this work, for a student practice.</dc:description>
