   <dcterms:abstract>The thesis that one of the fundamental objectives of science education is «to transmit» to the new generations the essential elements of scientific research experience acquired by mankind is argued. Certain aspects that, in opinion of the authors, should be considered in the physics teaching-learning process today are emphasized. One of the most outstanding characteristic of the contemporary scientific research activity is the use of computers; from this perspective the authors examine the basic objectives of their use in physics teaching.</dcterms:abstract>
