El artículo relaciona el auge de la antropología y el desprestigio de la filosofía, con la corriente relativista propia de la posmodernidad. La hipótesis que se defiende es que tanto el aumento de interés por el estudio de la cultura, como el desprestigio de la actividad especulativa, se basan en una errónea concepción de ambas disciplinas. El autor sostiene que no es posible reducir la filosofía a una mera justificación del statu quo de lo que hay al estilo Rorty, ni tampoco pretender que la antropología cultural es la única posibilidad de pensar en el hombre en una época posmoderna. La educación necesita de un sistema filosófico fuerte sobre todo en tiempos de crisis, pero para la actividad educativa es aún más importante la antropología por cuanto para la actividad educativa es muy necesario el conocimiento de los mitos que circulan en una sociedad.The paper relates the height of the anthropology and I discredit of the philosophy, with the relativist movement of postmodernity. The hypothesis that is defended is that as much the increase of interest by the study of the culture, as the discredit of the speculative activity, is based on an erroneous conception of both disciplines. Author maintains that it is not possible to reduce the philosophy to a mere justification of estatus quo to the Rorty Style, nor to try either that the cultural anthropology is the only possibility of thinking about the man at a postmodern time. The education needs a philosophical system mainly in the days of crisis hard, but for the educative activity the anthropology is still more important because for the educative activity the knowledge of the myths that circulate in a society is very necessary.
