<dcterms:abstract>A catalytic hydroamidation of alkynes with isocyanates using alkyl bromides as hydride sources has been developed. The method turns parasitic β-hydride elimination into a strategic advantage, rapidly affording acrylamides with excellent chemo- and regioselectivity.</dcterms:abstract>
