Aproximació a la caracterització de l’horitzó ibèric antic (segles vi-v ane) a la fortalesa dels Vilars (Arbeca, les Garrigues) Characterisation of the Early Iberian Culture horizon (6th-5th century BC) of the Vilars Fortress (Arbeca, les Garrigues, Lleida) Castellano Aragonés, Alba Primer ferro Ibèric antic Plana occidental catalana Fortalesa dels Vilars Urbanisme Ceràmica Early Iron Age Early Iberian period Catalonian Western Plain Fortress of Vilars Urbanism Pottery Aquest treball neix davant la necessitat d’omplir una part del buit existent en la plana occidental catalana sobre el període de l’ibèric antic (segles vi-v ane), a partir de l’estudi de la fortalesa dels Vilars (Arbeca, les Garrigues). La caracterització que es presenta en el treball comprèn l’evolució urbanística de l’assentament entre els períodes del primer ferro i l’ibèric antic, així com l’estudi dels elements ceràmics (a partir d’anàlisi estadística) apareguts en la fortalesa en aquest període. Mitjançant aquest estudi es pretén realitzar una aproximació a aquest moment de canvi en l’assentament, ple d’innovacions tecnològiques i canvis culturals, els quals duen implícit un flux d’idees entre altres pobles del Mediterrani i els pobladors autòctons, reflectit en l’arquitectura i els materials recuperats als Vilars. This paper stems from the need to fill the hiatus of knowledge of Early Iberian period (6th-5th centuries BC) in the Western Catalonian Plain based on the study of the Fortress of Vilars (Arbeca, les Garrigues). The notions advanced are based on the study of the urban development of the settlement between the Early Iron Age and the Early Iberian period and the analysis of the pottery (from a statistical perspective) appearing in the fortress throughout this period.
