Bonnefoy, un mástil fundamental: especialmente los poetas Nerval, Baudelaire, Rimbaud y Mallarmé, a quienes a dedicados numerosos artículos y libros. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar un estudio publicado por Bonnefoy, en 2001 (es decir cuando tiene ya casi ochenta años, al final de una vida plena) y que constituye una síntesis de su reflexión sobre la poesía del siglo XIX. Allí propone o bien una rectificación o bien una reafirmación de lo que, para el poeta de Tours, es lo “esencial” del siglo XIX. Seguidamente se intentará investigarlo.
