A total of 92 adult females were captured and examined, yielding detailed biometric data, ovarian activity profiles, oocyte number and maturity, and morphological features of the oviductal eggs. Results reveal high intraindividual variability in reproductive parameters, indicating remarkable reproductive plasticity. Although a positive correlation was observed between body size and oocyte count, it is not sufficiently strong to be considered definitive. Two reproductive phenotypes were identified, based on body size and reproductive performance. Ovarian maturation was clearly linked to seasonal temperature changes, with a decrease in mature oocytes as the reproductive season progressed.
