A Cerler i totes les estacions per poder disposar de neu en la temporada d’esquí es
pràcticament una obligació tenir neu artificial, ja que sense ella en el clima que estem
tindríem poques opcions d’esquiar i en èpoques concretes que podrien canviar cada
setmana.
Per no dependre tant de la climatologia, el que les estacions han fet és crear una xarxa
de canonades per portar l’aigua, que juntament amb l’aire comprimit es forma la neu.
En aquest projecte es vol dimensionar, incorporar i adaptar tres noves pistes en la
instal·lació existent, ja que el nombre d’esquiadors cada any augmenten i amb ells
també les seves exigències, per això el que es vol fer es un altre accés a l’estació, per
evitar aglomeracions i també tenir un altre vall a la que poder expandir-se en futures
