Escola Politècnica Superior Simon Madrenas, Enric Disseny d'estructures Structural design Piscines - Disseny i construcció Swimming pools - Design and construction La ciutat d’Olot històricament sols disposava per a la pràctica de natació d’instal·lacions privades, fins que al 2002 s’inaugurà la Piscina Municipal d’Olot. Aquestes instal·lacions consten de 4 piscines: piscina de clapoteig (de 8 x 6 m per als més menuts), lúdica (de forma irregular de 54 m x 6,5 m per a l’esbarjo), d’ensenyament (de 16,6 x 8 m destinada a la iniciació i a aprenentatge de la natació), i la de competició (de 25 x 16,6 m que es destina a l’aprenentatge, pràctica i competició de la natació). Des de la seva construcció ha estat objecte de crítica la no disposició d’aquestes instal·lacions fora de les dates d’estiu al no ser cap de les piscines coberta. Objecte: Disseny d’una estructura per a cobrir les piscines d’ensenyament i competició, i annexar-les amb l’edifici de vestuaris, per a poder donar disponibilitat d’aquestes dues piscines durant totes les estacions de l’any. La superfície aproximada que acull aquestes piscines és d’aproximadament 45 x 24 m, disposant de més extensió per a la projecció de l’estructura. És objectiu que el disseny permeti tenir un accés el més diàfan possible a la resta de piscines durant la temporada d’estiu, per a que els usuaris puguin desplaçar-se de forma fàcil i ràpida entre piscines The city of Olot historically only had facilities for swimming of private facilities, until the Olot Municipal Swimming Pool was inaugurated in 2002.
