El Plan para la Lengua y la Cohesión Social es un proyecto
estratégico del gobierno de Cataluña para la mejora de la
educación. Sus tres objetivos fundamentales son: consolidar
la lengua catalana, fomentar la educación intercultural y
promover la igualdad de oportunidades. Este artículo explica
el origen y las finalidades del Plan, sus ejes estratégicos y
emblemáticos, y los contextos socioculturales y políticos en
los que se plantea y desarrolla
The Language and Social Cohesion Plan is a strategic project from the Catalonian
Government in order to improve education. Its three main aims are: to consolidate the
Catalan language, to promote intercultural education and to ensure equal opportunities. This
article explains the origin and purposes of the Plan, its most strategic and emblematic points
and the sociocultural and politic context in which the Plan appears and is developed
