In this article, a post-morteminventory is analysed and transcribed. Not only its material affluence such as assets and real estate is evaluated and commented on, but it also approaches the cultural references and literary universes of an eighteenth century hisendat through an examination of the library inherited by Jaume Pont de Cabanes A finals del segle XVIII emergeix la categoria dels autoanomenats hisendats, una classe de senyors útils o propietaris, de certa potència econòmica i social.
