Curs 2024-2025 Director: Tomas Macsotay Este presente trabajo se centra en resumir y aplicar una aproximación a la imagen desde una perspectiva semiótica desarrollada en los años 1980-90. Esta aproximación se funda en un análisis de los mecanismos de construcción de la imagen y la relación que ésta hace posible con el/la espectador(a). Importantes elementos en este modelo son los tipos y formas de mirada (gaze/glance), el ordenamiento en el espacio representado (focalización), y la forma en que se implica el espectador. El objetivo principal es examinar las estructuras visuales presentes en las obras pictóricas que permitan no solo comprender cómo funciona la arquitectura de la imagen, sino también la producción y transmisión de los significados implícitos. Para ello, se ha establecido un marco teórico a partir del estudio interdisciplinar Reading Rembrandt: Beyond the Word-Image Opposition (1991) de Mieke Bal y, el innovador ensayo Vision and Painting: The logic of the gaze (1983) de Norman Bryson. Después de examinar estas propuestas, se aplica este modelo teórico en una serie de casos elegidos para este trabajo: se trata de obras de pintura danesa del siglo XIX con autores como Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg y su discípulo Christian Købke. En este último apartado se intenta evaluar la pertinencia y utilidad de dichas herramientas semióticas. This paper focuses on summarizing and applying an approach to the imagen from a semiotic perspective developed in the 1980-90s. This approach is based on an analysis of the mechanism of image construction and the relationship it makes possible with the viewer. Important elements in this model are the types and forms of gaze (glaze/glance), the arrangement in the represented space (focalization), and the way in which the viewer is involved. The main objective is to examine the visual structures present in pictorial works that allow not only to understand how the architecture of the image works, but also the production and transmission of implicit meanings. To do this, a theoretical framework has been established based on the interdisciplinary study Reading Rembrandt: Beyond the Word-Image Opposition (1991) by Mieke Bal, and the innovative essay Vision and Painting: The logic of the gaze (1983) by Norman Bryson. After examining these proposals, this theoretical model is applied to a series of cases chosen for this word: these are works of nineteenth-century Danish painting by authors such as Christoffer Wilhem Eckersberg and his disciple Christian Købke.
