<subfield code="a">Historical events and social movements have been drastically impactful on society, its economy, and the evolution of the status quo of nations. It is now the moment to analyse how those bygone events have impacted in any way on Human Resources practices , policies and development.
How did some Human Resources policies origin? In which way Human practices evolved up to the present times? As a global focus of analysis would be way too extensive, I am therefore forced to cut it back and emphasise it primarily to Barcelona and its surroundings.
Some Human Resources policies imply equal salary distribution. So I will study the distribution system of salaries during the past decades from different perspectives, with the aim of concluding whether there is an existence of salary inequality in Barcelona. Another suggested aspect regarding Human Resources policies, is gender equality. As women have been discriminated against in the workplace for decades. Researching the gap on the salary distribution based on genders requires not only using data sets, but also different techniques which might help to draw a meaningful conclusion, delving into the socio-economic factors that may contribute to this inequality.
In a research project such as this one, a real-world application of the concepts is indispensable. So, as a conclusion and, in order to corroborate the possible dissemination of Human Resources policies concepts around the area of Barcelona, I will provide some rationales to solve this dilemma.</subfield>
