This study compares the experiences and perceptions of primary health care of respondents who self-identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) with those of respondents who do not. Data were collected through a closed-ended, anonymous online survey in 2018. 468 respondents completed the survey, which included sociodemographic questions, perceptions of respondents' health status, and their primary health-care experiences. Both LGBT and non-LGBT groups were analyzed, comparing differences and similarities by using univariant analysis and contingency tables. Our results indicate that the primary health-care needs of LGBT people in Catalonia include specific requirements that are not currently being addressed.Leon Freude has developed his participation in this article in the context of the INCASI RESEARCH NETWORK, a European project that has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie GA No 691004.
