Xianghong Qu El objetivo de este TFM consiste en descubrir las diferencias en las técnicas de traducción empleadas en las versiones en inglés y español de la novela Qingcheng zhi Lian y analizar si sus traducciones se ajustan a la función de la traducción literaria. Basándonos en la investigación de Newmark y Liao Qiuyi, clasificamos en primer lugar las imágenes metafóricas en tres categorías: imágenes muertes/tópicas, imágenes estereotipadas/estándar, e imágenes recientes/originales. Luego seguimos las siete técnicas de traducción de las metáforas propuestas por Newmark para analizar las traducciones, antes de llevar a cabo un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de las técnicas de traducción adoptadas para la traducción de las metáforas y los símiles en la novela Qingcheng zhi Lian al inglés y al español, mediante la creación y el estudio de un corpus paralelo. Finalmente, analizamos y evaluamos los datos resultantes según los propósitos funcionales de la traducción literaria planteados por Nord. 本研究旨在发现《倾城之恋》英西译本采取的翻译方法的差异,并探析他们的译 文是否符合文学翻译的功能。首先,基于纽马克与廖七一的研究,本文将明喻和 隐喻的意象分为三类,分别为死亡或陈腐的意象、常规或标准的意象,以及独创 或新鲜的意象。然后,根据纽马克提出的比喻的七种翻译方法对《倾城之恋》的 英文译本和西班牙语译本的翻译方法进行分类。通过建立平行语料库,对《倾城 之恋》小说中明喻和隐喻及其两种译文采纳的翻译方法进行定量分析。最后,通 过对数据的分析,并根据诺德提出的文学翻译的功能性目的理论对两份译文进行 分析和评价。 The aim of this Master's Thesis is to uncover the differences in translation methods employed in the English and Spanish versions of the novel Qingcheng zhi Lian and analyze if their translations align with the function of literary translation. According to Newmark and Liao Qiuyi, the metaphorical and simile images were classified into three categories: dead/cliché images, stock/standard images, and recent/original images. Subsequently, Newmark's proposed seven types of metaphor translation methods were categorized to analyse the translations in both versions. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the translation methods adopted for metaphors and similes in the translation of the novel Qingcheng zhi Lian into English and Spanish was conducted by creating a parallel corpus.
