dc.description.abstract |
The objective of the present final project has been the development of a graphical interface for
the management plane of the DICONET network. The management plane is the responsible for
having a whole network view and for establishing the communication with the control plane
when an establishment or deletion of an LSP is requested. The graphical interface will offer an
intuitive and neat tool in order to perform these desired operations.The design and development of the interface entails the following aspects:
· Creation and maintenance of the network resources database: the database will offer
the necessary persistence of the information associated to the network components,
such as the Optical Cross-Connects (OXC), needed for the development of the
interface.
· Development of the graphical front-end: the user’s graphical front-end will offer all the
necessary functionalities for an appropriate management of the network and its
components.
· Establishment of the dialog with the control plane: When the creation of an LSP is
needed, the graphical interface will establish a communication with the control plane,
responsible of the creation of LSPs, notifying the result to the user in a graphical way
and updating the database with the new information.
· Network Physical Parameters visualization: the graphical front-end will allow the
possibility to show the Physical Parameters (PP) information associated to the
different network components. |
