Treball de recerca realitzat per un alumne d'ensenyament secundari i guardonat amb un Premi CIRIT per fomentar l'esperit científic del Jovent l'any 2009. El treball és un estudi de l’evolució, tan tècnica com estètica dels fars paral•lela als avenços tecnològics i prenent com a protagonistes els singulars fars de ferro que es varen construir durant la segona meitat del segle XIX i varen funcionar durant un llarguíssim període en el delta de l’Ebre. L’estructura de ferro, ancorada directament sobre les sorres del delta va donar un caràcter especial a aquestes construccions que, d’altra banda, constituïen una tipologia única a Catalunya i a Espanya.
Aquests fars van rebre el nom del lloc on foren ubicats estratègicament. De sud a nord: far de la Banya, far de Buda i far del Fangar. Els van projectar conjuntament, es van encendre per primera vegada el mateix dia, van ser l’habitatge dels seus faroners, van anar evolucionant tècnicament tots tres però el final de cadascun d’ells va ser molt diferent. La història dels fars de ferro ha anat lligada al paisatge i la vida d’aquestes singulars terres del Delta i després de més d’un segle de servei foren substituïts per altres que estèticament i tècnicament res tenen a veure amb els seus antecessors. |

Research project carried out by a pupil of secondary education and rewarded with a Prize CIRIT to foster the scientific spirit of the Youth in year 2009. The work is a study of the evolution, as technical as aesthetic of the lighthouses in the technological advances and taking as protagonists the singular lighthouses of iron that were constructed during the second half of the 19th century and worked during a very long period in the delta of the Ebre. The structure of iron, anchored directly on the sands of the delta it gave a special character in these constructions that, on the other hand, constituted an only typology in Catalonia and in Spain.
These lighthouses received the name of the place where they were placed strategically. Of south in north: lighthouse of the Banya, lighthouse of Buda and lighthouse of the the Fangar. They projected them together, they ignited for the first time the same day, they were the house of their lighthouse keeper, they kept on evolving technically all three but the end of each of them was very different. The history of the lighthouses of iron has gone tied to the landscape and the life of this singular lands of the Delta and after more than one century on duty were substituted for other than aesthetically and technically nothing they have to see with their predecessors. |
