This paper compares different times of museums considering the situation of the past two decades. It reflects on the upswing and down, knowing that partake of the latter and we are in a deep crisis and unsustainable policies dictating contradictory. This situation raises the museums with their own project and creative professionals can better overcome difficulties because they do not suffer crisis of ideas. Some paradoxes are evident as the case of Greece, the place where the museums are repositories of highly relevant cultural values and the same institutions that have enhanced their improvement in the years of the upswing, they currently require, cuts that put them in a position risk. Similarly we can see that policies are applied to thin the identity of museums since they rely on adjustments that do not study each particular case. Alternatively there is the creativity and efforts of managers and professionals in general and cooperative work. It gives details of some of our participatory projects that go in this direction and to be successfully applied

El presente artículo compara distintos momentos de los museos considerando la situación de las dos últimas décadas. Se reflexiona sobre la curva ascendente y la descendente, conscientes de que participamos de esta última y estamos inmersos en una crisis profunda que dicta políticas insostenibles y contradictorias. Ante esta situación se plantea que los muesos con proyecto propio y con profesionales creativos pueden superar mejor las dificultades debido a que no padecen crisis de ideas. Se evidencian algunas paradojas, como el caso de Grecia, lugar en que los museos son depositarios de valores culturales muy relevantes y las mismas instituciones que han potenciado su mejora en los años de la curva ascendente les exigen actualmente unos recortes que los ponen en situación de riesgo. Del mismo modo, podemos ver que se aplican políticas que diluyen la identidad de los museos, ya que parten de ajustes que no estudian cada caso en particular. Como alternativa, se plantea la creatividad y las iniciativas de los gestores y profesionales en general, así como el trabajo cooperativo.
