Development of a radar at 24 GHz for remote sensing applications

This project will examine the capabilities of a radar sensor at 24GHz to measure the vibrations of buildings. The aim of this application, based on the detection of the vibration frequencies of the structure, is to detect possible damages suffered by the building. A commercial radar sensor working at frequencies higher than those ones conventionally used. To test the capabilities of the sensor some measurements of vibrations of objects will be carried out. An acquisition system is designed and realized to store the data provided by the sensor. The conditioned signal provided by the sensor is acquired and processed using a commercial board and a standard PC.
