dc.description.abstract	This paper sets out the main findings of a comparative research project carried out by research groups in five European countries (Belgium, France, Portugal, Italy and Spain), with the support of the European Union as part of the Daphne II programme. The goal of the project was to analyse violent situations in night-time leisure activities, especially those occurring between young people, together with the efficacy of social and institutional responses to these situations.
