Structural design of framed steel structure for fatigue laboratory tests

The laboratory of the department of Constructions and Transports from the Università degli Studi di Padova needed a structure of steel to execute fatigue test. For this reason, the present project is based on the calculations and the design of this structure. In order to be carried out, the project has followed the valid rule obtained from the Eurocode 3, Design of steel structures, as a basic normative. Moreover, the demands that the structure have to bear in order to take them into account in its calculation and design have been studied too. One of the main objectives is to study the resistance to fatigue of the structure because the tests consist of applying a load of 1500 kN with a punctual shape repeatedly.
