Actualment ens trobem en una societat que es caracteritza per la diversitat cultural i la interacció social entre persones que provenen de llocs molt llunyans. No obstant, el lloc on aquesta característica es veu millor reflectida és dins de les aules educatives. L’escola és el lloc on famílies de tot arreu convergeixen i interaccionen gràcies a que els seus fills formen part d’aquesta comunitat.
Cultura, diversitat, educació, desenvolupament, intel·ligència, són paraules que actualment tenen una gran presència en el nostre dia a dia, especialment dins de l’àmbit educatiu. Però quin és el significat d’aquestes? Quines implicacions tenen sobre la nostra vida i la nostra comprensió de la realitat?. L’objectiu principal d’aquest treball és, per una banda, presentar la significació que famílies de diferents cultures li donen a aquestes qüestions, fent èmfasis en les semblances i les diferències, i per l’altra, mostrar com el procés de construcció de coneixement dels infants que acudeixen cada dia a les aules es veu influenciat per la interacció entre ells, entre famílies, entre cultures, per l’escola i pel context on es desenvolupen.
Per aconseguir això, es van realitzar entrevistes a mares i fills de 3 famílies que pertanyen a cultures diferents, una catalana, una colombiana i una marroquí, que acudeixen a la mateixa escola a Barcelona. Cal destacar que la intenció d’aquest treball no és fer generalitzacions sinó accedir als significats compartits entre generacions i entre cultures.
Today’s society is characterized by cultural diversity and social interaction among people from places which are very far away from each other. However, where this is better reflected is in our classrooms. Schools are where all families from everywhere converge and interact because their children are part of the school community.
Culture, diversity, education, development, intelligence are buzzwords nowadays, especially within classrooms. But what do these words mean? What are their implications in our lives and comprehension of reality? The main objective of this study is, on one hand, to expose the meaning that families from different cultures give to these matters, emphasizing differences and similarities, and on the other, to show how the construction of knowledge of the children that go to school every day can be influenced by the interaction between themselves, their families and cultures, the school and the environment with which they interact.
In order to achieve this objective, parents and children from three di1fferent families from three different cultures, Catalan, Colombian and Moroccan, whose children go to the same school in Barcelona were interviewed. It is worth highlighting that this study intends not to generalize but to access shared meanings between generations and cultures. |
