Abstract:
|
Departing from the equivalences along different models established at different decision-making hierarchical levels, in this work the joint usage of a Conceptual Constraint (CC) Domain and a Process Systems Engineering (PSE) Domain allows to develop a systematic support method able to generate optimization models to solve decision making problems in a broad range of scenarios. The method is based on the connections between these two domains, and it shows how the problem generalization leads to (re)create the main core of most optimization models from the currently available data. The capability of the developed approach is illustrated through a case study where an optimization model is built and solved departing from other models focused on completely different cases at other hierarchical levels. |
