Day after day, the Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) of the RADAR visualizations are being enhanced by improving their performances through updates and evolutions. Sometimes, the section toiling on maintaining the optimal operational conditions (MCO), request for new software to optimize their assignments. This project corresponds to the final degree project of ENAC Engineer specialized in Air Operations and Safety and to Air Navigation Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. It has been carried out at SopraSteria, a large international company, in the department of public services and transportation. The goals of this project are create a couple of tools to ameliorate the performances of the MCO: the first tool takes place in the context of the HMI of IRMA (software of RADAR visualization for the approaches) and the second one is a function added to an existing decoder to touch up RADAR data. To achieve the first goal, the V-model has been followed. Based on a clear need, step by step, the requirements, the structure, the tests and the documentation have been created. The resulting tool has been created on Python and it is fully compliant with the initial statement. To deal with the second problem, it has been necessary to get used to the sources of information and the existing decoder to be able to introduce a new application. The resulting decoder is an update of the previous one. The decoding of ASTERIX messages has been introduced by means of C++ code. |
