The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to study different types of network deployments in Wireless Sensor Networks and improve one existing deployment, providing new enhancements and new concepts trying to reduce as much as possible the energy consumption and the cost of the deployment. When this objective was proposed some goals were set, as following: minimize the energy consumption of the network, minimize the cost of the network, increase the coverage, minimize the number of anchor nodes, and localize the maximum number of nodes. All used processes and techniques have been focused in the field of agriculture. The main goal of the work presented is to provide possible improvements for network deployment, energy consumption and cost in WSN applications. To achieve that, different deployment techniques are studied. Therefore an improved wireless sensors network deployment is developed while considering the energy consumption and the network cost. MATLAB software is used to simulate the network and justify the improvements. |
