The purpose of this thesis is to develop a demonstrator for a wireless lighting control use case. The goal is to create a lighting network formed by one master node and several slave nodes each of them equipped with a PCB including an RGB LED that can be controlled wirelessly. This project was conducted at the Nimbus Centre for Embedded Systems located at the Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland as my nal bachelor thesis. At rst, the diferent design alternatives are discussed, followed by an overview of the system. Next, the di erent hardware components are
described and their function within the demonstrator. In the next chapter the software design is discussed, in special the programs developed for the web application, the servers and the software running on the nodes. In conclusion, the thesis demonstrates the proper operation of a lighting control use case that allows the user controlling
the colour level of an RGB LED wirelessly. |
