Abstract:

The following Project consists in the development of an executive design of the utilities for a Fire station, with the goal of providing a comprehensive and sustainable supply for its proper operation.
In order to decide which systems and utilities should be build, it is critical to understand the nature and particular use of this facility and therefore ensure its very specific requirements. Two main uses of the building are here considered: the office area and the fire engines and vehicles zone.
Utilities hereinafter considered are:
- Gas
- Water supply
- Sewer system: Sanitary and Storm water
- Energy, including:
o Electric system
o Lighting system
o Solar energy
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning)
- Communications
- Fire protection
Regulations in force, including CTE, REBT and RITE, as well as metropolitan and municipal norms have been taken into consideration and its compliance has been ensured through all the design process.
All the above mentioned systems can be found fully explained and developed in the following pages, so as to provide sufficient information for the successful execution of the project.
