In this project is to design a sensing system for monitoring the state of dumpsters in an urban environment. The aim is to achieve efficient management of waste collection by establishing dynamic and efficient routes to optimize these tasks. The design implements autonomous sensor node is located at the top of the container which performs the measurement of the state of the container. This node communicates wirelessly to an access point or central node located on a lamppost to transfer measurement data. Finally, the access point delivers these data to a remote server located in the central management. This project is implemented physically all hardware and software needed to make the system work, and furthermore do so in real time. Current systems that provide solutions to this problem make communication between devices using payment services like GPRS. This project provides a solution for low cost wireless communications and low power consumption as the standard ZigBee. Is also used for sending data to a remote server, the electricity network. It takes advantage of already deployed infrastructure. It has as a priority to minimize the total cost of implementing the system and energy consumption autonomous device that it can be powered by the same batteries as long as possible without having to be replaced. |
